Ice fishing for Pike and Panfish at Island Lake

Date: January 6, 2019
Temperature: -1°C
Water depth: 8ft
Location: Island Lake Conservation Area, Ontario
Bait used: minnows, small tungsten jig (on Amazon Canada or Amazon US) with mealworms, superworms

This was my first fishing trip of the year and since half of the lake at Island Lake was open for the ice fishing season I decided to fish here. The weather was nice and mildly cold and the fishing was great.

I had one rod set up with a minnow and the other lighter setup for panfish. The Sunfish were on fire. I was getting plenty of bites and they were nice size too. I got a couple of small Pikes and I even got 2 nice Crappies on minnows. Fun day.
